NETEASE GAMES INTERNSHIP:
EGGY PARTY

Summary

Level design, engine research, promotion, and community work for Eggy Party following its regional launch in the US. Eggy Studio at NetEase comprises a team of ~400 developers collaborating worldwide.

I was a Map Design Intern at NetEase in the summer of 2024, and made compelling levels for players in Eggy Workshop across several genres with a throughline of physical comedy.

My Work

      • Eggy Party Massacre - 288583 - Single-player slasher horror stage including dynamic lighting & color grading, jumpscares, monster & NPC behavior, and narrative flow.

        and more.

  • Contributed to weekly design standups, presented level content and proposals to a multidisciplinary team of mentors, and reviewed level and social media metrics.

  • Ran playtests with target players for level content and game interface.

  • Collected feedback on US marketing efforts and IP collaborations.

  • Gave usability feedback for a custom level editor, including bugs, interface usability, and translation.

  • Created tutorial and documentation content and mentored other map creators, supporting an international community of over 40 million DAU.
